Probably the largest choice of Beauty
Products in the UK!
As a mere male, I used to think rather naively
that beauty treatments involved merely the putting on of a little
face powder and lipstick. When I married my wife I came down to
earth with a bump when I found out what the cost was of her weekly
hairdo, eyebrow plucking and nail treatments - to her feet as well
as her hands! When I complained about such extravagances, she smiled
quietly and then showed me what I could have been paying for.
Firstly, there is cosmetic surgery. Bosoms can be made bigger,
smaller, or firmer. Faces can be lifted, lines removed, crows feet
around eyes eliminated. Tummies can be tucked, varicose veins can be
removed, orange peel skin can be smoothed. Health spas can provide
mud baths, facial scrubs, dermatological toning. Trichologists can
transplant hair, make it thicker, change it's colour, weave new
strands amongst the existing ones. Major stores have entire
departments devoted to cosmetics and skin care products, and
perfumes can cost more than their own weight in diamonds. I take
back everything I said - my wife is truly the most frugal of women.
