15 Really Good Reasons for a Caribbean Holiday

1. Anguilla
2. Bermuda
3. British Virgin Islands
4. Cayman Islands
5. Montserrat
6. Turks and Caicos

7. Antigua
8. Bahamas
9. Barbados
10. Jamaica
11. Martinique
12. Netherlands Antigua & Aruba
13. St Lucia
14. St Vincent and the Grenadines
15. Trinidad and Tobago

For the sake of space and time, we will concentrate on the top six on our list. These six British territories offer a wide variety of options for the holiday traveler. From the active volcano on Montserrat to the pink sands of Bermuda, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Anguilla has been described as a "blank canvas"; a place where visitors can design the vacation they want. Whether it takes place in a private villa where you will be pampered like never before, or in a small house in town where you can enjoy a reggae band over a beer and lobster with the locals.

With more than a dozen islands to explore, the Bahamas will intoxicate you with its endless beaches, exotic wildlife and stunning nightlife. Snorkel or dive around the world's 3rd largest coral reef on the isle of Andros; visit the monuments where Christopher Columbus first landing in the New World on San Salvador; shop, dine, gamble and swim on Nassau.

British Virgin Islands-
Come stay at one of the sister islands here: Peter Island, Anageda, Jost Van Dyke, Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, Salt Island, Marina Cay.

Cayman Islands-
With three diverse islands, visitors can enjoy some of the finest shopping and cuisine in the Caribbean on Grand Cayman; go spelunking on in limestone caves on Cayman Brac or explore the very minimally populated Little Cayman.

In 1995 and 1997, Soufiere Hill Volcano erupted, turning the capital city of Plymouth into a modern-day Pompeii. Visitors can take an excursion to Jack Boy Hill or the Monserrat Volcano Observatory to view the active volcano or to Richmond Hill to view Plymouth.

Turks and Caicos-
Although Providenciales is the most well known of the islands, it is merely one of forty. Of the forty islands and cays, only eight are inhabited but all have a distinct flavour. From shopping to boating to caving, there is much to enjoy on the islands of Turks and Caicos.

Join us next time as we discover how to enjoy the other islands while on holiday
